i am sorry to say that i haven't read the book by kazuo ishiguro, but i did see the movie NEVER LET ME GO. the movie was a reminder to me of the importance of independent film. i walked out of the theatre and felt like i couldn't talk for awhile. it was a breathtaking, subtle, beautiful movie about love, heartbreak and settling into your role in life whatever that may be. there's a scene where kathy h. is listening to the song, never let me go, by herself in her room and it literally broke my heart.
