ECLIPSES

i forgot to mention that on tuesday rob & i had a record come out. rob did the music which he recorded at home on various synthesizers and we collaborated on an art print that symbolizes the mood of the music. you can get it here if you'd like.

SHABD

i have been a big fan of tasteful & clever tie-dye solutions. which is why i love shabd's version of tie-dye for 2010. named after cosmic nebulas & constellations which only adds to their dreamy hand dyed patterns. i think i will live in the pastel tshirt dress all spring long.

CREATURES OF THE WIND AND OTHER THINGS, TOO

i've decided to start doing a weekly post about friends who are doing amazing things. up first are my friends chris and shane. they make up the duo creatures of the wind. as of right now they live in chicago and work out of their home studio. when i still lived in chicago, i would love going over to their house for dinner and getting to sneak a peek at what they were up to. i feel extremely privileged that they let me in because it was always so fun to see where they started with their ideas- lace patterns on peasant folk dresses- and how they would use those ideas to create something modern and timeless. my favorite pieces ,so far, have been their circle coat and the swingy peasant dress with knitwear on top and ruffles that come together to make a full skirt on bottom. they will be coming to new york to show their latest work in the next few weeks and i can't wait!

TOO GOOD TO BE BAD OR TOO BAD TO BE GOOD

either way i don't care. i love these sunglasses at stand up comedy in portland oregon. there is something so hilarious and awkwardly amazing about these sunglasses. i mean blood dripping sunglasses. oh the vampire irony! i pretty much love a lot of the work they have. most of it would make for my perfect dream wardrobe. plus they sell my friends' line creatures of the wind which is the bomb.

this may be my new scent of 2010 le labo rose 31 a rose scent designed with the man in mind. i don't know why but i like a lot of man-ish scents.

CHANGE OF HEART

i can't get this song out of my head. i have always had a sweet spot for the swedes, so it's no surprise that i love el perro del mar. and i really love this song change of heart.

NEW YEAR NEW WORK

i now solemnly swear to make at least 3 posts a week to my blog. i thought i would start the first post of 2010 off with some new card designs. what do you think?
